Since
1925, Rowan Business Alliance has been serving the membership and community in
Salisbury Rowan. Leadership, communication, legislation, billing
and collections, marketing, solid business practices and management
are all key components to our success. But without the people
– in local organizations, in our Rowan Business Alliance
membership and in this community – we would have faded
long ago. Today, Rowan Business Alliance is strong and even
more dedicated to strengthening businesses and enhancing the
quality of life for all citizens.

WHAT DISTINGUISHES
THE ROWAN BUSINESS ALLIANCE?
1. The organization is a direct operator
of an array of collections, billing, credit and other administrative
and third party programs directly supporting the members.
2. The Alliance provides services to companies
outside Rowan as well as within. The revenues received from
those sources are then invested in programs directly benefiting
the membership and the Rowan County community.
3. The vast majority of its income comes
from revenue streams other than membership dues. Membership
fees in the Alliance are considerably less than those of many
other organizations. The Alliance provides an excellent return
on investment for those who join.
WHAT IT HAS IN COMMON
WITH OTHER LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS
1. It promotes the economic vitality of
member organizations by delivering valuable cost-effective
initiatives, assistance and information responsive to their
needs.
2. The Alliance promotes cooperation among
members, networking opportunities and coordinated approaches
to issues identification and problem solving.
3. It conducts seminars, information sessions
and other programs that address members' current and future
issues, using when possible the talent and expertise of the
membership itself.
4. The organization emphasizes the critical
importance of education to the area's future through programs
of scholarship, recognition and competition.
5. The Alliance encourages a spirit of
cooperation among all agencies in the area that are engaged
in community and economic development.
